SLS batch series

Selective laser sintering even for larger quantities

Talking about serial and mass production of plastic parts means usually injection moulding. There are, however, some situations and good reasons to check out SLS serial production.

Injection moulding has its cost advantages against serial selective laser sintering for high batch numbers. For low lot sizes, SLS will become a highly attractive alternative. Not only the batch size plays a role, but part size and complexity are even important.

There is a high advantage of SLS when it comes to the flexibility and adaptability of the production. You can change your geometries after each build job without further cost effect. The production can be started at any time – we only need the respective 3D CAD files. Like this, we can start production on short term and do bridge manufacturing – the immediate delivery of plastic parts which are intended to be produced by injection moulding at a later stage.

You even can produce highly complex geometries where injection moulding will reach its limits. For instance, undercuts are easily producible by SLS. The technology of selective laser sintering becomes powerful for small 3D objects and allow a real cost-effective serial production.

In order to deliver your parts in the desired surface quality and colour, we offer the respective post processing such as tumbling or dyecolouring.
